Terms and Conditions

LawBuddy is an Australian legal information and referral platform, established in 2011, with a strong emphasis on connecting legal consumers with quality lawyers, prepared to offer fixed fee legal services.

What we ask of you

You confirm that you are legally entitled to practice law in the state and country where you are located and have never been subject to any disciplinary actions by the relevant law society in your state.

You confirm your interest in participating in webinars, podcasts and other mediums that we may suggest to grow your profile on LawBuddy and in doing so, any content that may derive from such mediums, you grant LawBuddy exclusivity of such content to showcase on the LawBuddy website and attribute such content to you.

You agree to pay the Subscription Fee of $49 per month in advance each month or annually as appropriate.

To the extent that any supply made in connection with this agreement is a taxable supply, the GST exclusive consideration to be paid for that taxable supply is increased by the amount of any GST payable in respect of that taxable supply.

You confirm that you’re willing to respond to a legal question within your area of expertise and geographical location (in response to an email question that a person may ask). How you choose to answer the question, is not a matter for LawBuddy, but rather you. LawBuddy has no expectation that you will provide such advice to an extent that is not financially viable for your firm.

You confirm that you will respond to email questions within 2 business days.

You confirm that if following your advice or information, or a direct request for fixed fee engagement (or otherwise) by a LawBuddy user, that you will advise them that you will be paying LawBuddy a Referral Fee. The Referral Fee is 10% of the fixed legal fee pertaining to the service of which the client requires.

You confirm that you will pay the relevant LawBuddy invoice within 30 days.

You may terminate this agreement at any time by notifying LawBuddy. LawBuddy may terminate this agreement on 7 days notice by notifying you at the email address that you have provided.

Despite the termination, you confirm that you agree to continue to pay referral fees for those relevant referrals subject to your agreement with LawBuddy.

Queensland law governs this agreement.
