Bullying Reform on the Table

A conference on bullying is expected to push for reform to Australia’s bullying laws, including the laws that deal with cyberbullying.

Former Family Court Chief Justice Alastair Nicholson, who is attending the conference, stated that currently the legal duty of schools, teachers, parents and guardians is not clear in respect to bullying.

The conference, which will look at reform, duty of care, and the new development of a cyberbullying tribunal in New Zealand, is currently taking place in Melbourne today, and tomorrow.
